Platforms store anything above 720p as separate video and audio streams. Both have to be fetched and then merged into one playable file before it can be sent to you, and that merge takes time proportional to the length and size of the video.

Fast runs at roughly real-time and is fine for clear, single-speaker audio. Accurate is several times slower and noticeably better with accents, background noise and multiple speakers. Run Fast first; if you keep re-reading sentences to work out what was meant, re-run in Accurate.

The video is not publicly accessible. Open the link in a private browser window to check — if it does not load there either, there is nothing for the tool to fetch. This also covers videos deleted by their uploader and videos blocked in the server’s region.

The content is age-restricted, members-only, or behind a paywall. We do not bypass those gates, deliberately. There is no setting that changes this.

Usually a dropped connection on a large file. Retry, and consider a lower resolution — a 2160p download can exceed a gigabyte and is far more likely to be interrupted than a 720p one.

Not while it is still running — there is no completed file to fetch. Once the stream ends and the platform publishes the archive, the archive link works normally.

They are written to a temporary working directory, processed, and deleted as soon as your result has been delivered. They are not retained, not indexed, not reviewed by staff and not used to train any model of ours.

No. Links you paste are used to serve that one request and are not stored against you in any profile or download history. We keep ordinary web-server logs for up to 30 days for security and fault-finding.

Yes — text extracted from your document is sent to OpenAI to generate the summary. Please do not upload confidential or sensitive material to it. Downloading, audio extraction and transcription all run on our own servers and do not send your media to a third party.

Yes. Every tool works with all optional cookies blocked. You will still see advertisements, but they will be generic rather than tailored. The Cookie Policy lists every way to turn them off.

It depends entirely on the video and on where you are. Downloading your own uploads, public domain material, or content licensed for reuse is fine. Downloading someone else’s protected work without permission is copyright infringement. Separately, most platforms’ terms of service prohibit downloading except through features they provide, and that obligation binds you regardless of copyright law.

No. Attribution is not permission. Nor is the video being publicly available, nor keeping the clip under 30 seconds, nor adding “no copyright infringement intended”. Our copyright guide explains what actually does make a use permissible.

No, and the Service will not do it. We do not circumvent access controls. A private post is private because someone chose that, and we are not going to build around that choice.

Our Copyright & DMCA page sets out exactly what a valid notice needs to contain. Complete notices are acknowledged and acted on within 48 hours, and we terminate access for repeat infringers.
